Artistic Research School
The overall purpose of the artistic research school is to create a nationwide, solid base for education in artistic research at the international front line.
The school will establish artistic research as an academic discipline, by relating to the specific expertise of artistic practice.
It is of high priority to develop a research environment in each artistic discipline, and at every institution connected to the school.
The research school will organize general seminars with courses and presentations that involve all the artistic disciplines together, but also subject seminars, which will allow for highly specialized discussions.
More then twenty doctorate students are expected to graduate in the period 2010–2015.
Twelve universities and university colleges with a number of faculties and departments will be organizing the school, which will be administered in cooperation by the Faculties of Fine Arts in Gothenburg and Malmo/Lund.
