Ylva Hofvander Trulsson
Ylva Hofvander Trulsson (MMus, MEd, PhD) works at the Faculty of Fine and Performing Arts at Lund University, Lund , Sweden. She was visiting scholar / postdoc at the Faculty of Education, University of Cambridge, UK (2012-2014), in a research project called Musical Learning and Discipline - discourses on social mobility of immigrant parents and their children, finansed by Swedish research council. Her research focuses on perspectives on class formation in relation to parents’ choices, concerted cultivation, migration and social mobility. Ylva has been visiting scholar at Hedmark University College, Norway, in association with the research project “Musical gentrification and socio-cultural diversities” (2013-2016).
Now she is principal investigator in "ARTs, agency and social mobility: Intergenerational transmission of Sami culture in family, educational and community settings (ARTIS), finansed by Swedish research council 2015-2018.
